In the Gourara, Timimoun keeps the secret of the brightest celebration of the
Mawlid party. Which is the Muslims party of birth; the s'boue (number seven
in Arabic language); lasts seven days & seven nights, it is the biggest
festive gathering of the Sahara.
The annual gathering of the Gouraris around a dances and songs in the rhythm
of T'bal, karkabou and the Ghaita.. In an immemorial era, the saint boss Belkacem
celebrated the Mawlid in gathering his disciplines for Koran psalmodies followed
by a long dinners.
The nights belongs to the artists and poets of AHLLIL, which a king of music
specific to Gourara. Till the exhaustion which has to take place only on the
rising of day, they psalmody, recite and old verses and song the ancestral laments
of the Zenets and Berbere of Gourara.
