Caspian Sea

Hares, rabbits, jackals, marmots, susliks and hazels are living also close to the seashore.

The coasts of the Caspian Sea are the season shelters for birds migrating from Europe and Asia .There are rare kinds of flamingoes and eagles among them. At the Azerbaijan cost the hunting of 14kinds of birds, mostly various breeds of duck and goose is available.

Many islands are located in the Caspian Sea close to the Azerbaijan shore. There are many mud volcanoes at the islands of Bakq archipelago rather as at the shore.

The Caspian Sea is the lodging for historical routes connecting Europe and Asia, near to the caravan ways of the Great Silk Road. Vikings and Arians and slave folks, khazars and Persians, Greeks and Mongol hordes, Arabs and Turks, Italians, Englishmen, Spaniards-the travelers and traders of almost all tribes and nations passed here.

Caspian Sea was well known far beyond the region with its ancient names-the Girkan sea, Khazar .Baku sea etc.
