Turtle Rock
A ragged stretch of coast line, about 1 kilometre long, divides Lara Bay South
and Lara Bay North and is a popular meeting place for both the loggerhead sea
turtle and the green turtle. This area is easily reached by boat or car from
Pafos and Latchi. It’s a dream come true for divers, offering everything from
small caves, long canyons, colourful archways to interesting rock formations.
The flora and fauna are typically rich in this conservation area and with a
bit of luck, you might spot a turtle or two. Almost at the open sea, mythical
underwater worlds beckon and apart from the usual shattered pieces of ancient
amphora, you might even find an unblemished specimen in the depths.
