Buк
Buк The Bukfurdo spa baths, part of the village, are known all over Europe.
In 1957 while drilling for oil at a depth of over 1200 metres, medicinal waters
at a temperature of 58 °C broke through to the surface. The baths opened five
years later. The medicinal waters at Buk are recommended for the treatment of
diseases of the motor organs, disorders of the digestive system, and circulatory
disorders. It is here that the best golf course in Hungary is to be found, and
the stately home in the village of Buk is a fine example of Hungarian baroque.
