Villany
As early as Roman times there was viticulture on the sunny slopes of the Villany
Hills. Today this is one of the most famous wine growing regions in the country,
and outstanding red and white wines carrbe sampled on the wine tour, which takes
you through 11 villages. A wine museum has been set up in the community of Villany
- where a red wine festival is organised in October of every odd year - to familiarise
the visitor with the region's wine culture.
