Khoboi Cape

This is the most popular trip on Olkhon. The Khoboi (translated from the Buryat
word meaning «fang») Cape is the northernmost part of the island.
It is a sacred place that guards the centuries-old secrets of shaman rituals
that have been observed here since ancient times. The Cape offers gorgeous views
of Baikal's 'Small' and 'Large' Seas and also the astounding cliff-faces of
the island's northern tip. It is said that Khoboi resembles the edge of the
earth.
Idiba valley
Type of trip: hiking-car.
Your route leads to the Idiba Valley on the East coast of the island. Here
you will walk through beautiful forest along a natural spring where thousands
of butterflies often gather. After a 3-hour trek to Baikal's 'Large' Sea, you
will be treated to a picnic on the lake's shore. On warm days it is possible
to swim in Elga bay.
Ogoi island and holy springs
Type of trip: hiking and by boat.
This trip offers the unique opportunity to experience the power of Baikal's
crystal water and enjoy her endless horizons from the ship's deck. Ogoi island
is considered sacred not only among the local population, but is famous all
over the world.

South of Olkhon
Olkhon is rich with ancient legends, Buryat folk-tales and historical sights.
This trip to the southern part of the island offers an opportunity to experience
the cultural heritage of the island, a highlight of which is the Kurikanskaya
Wall, an ancient archeological monument on the Horgoi peninsula. You can enjoy
walking on the hills where there are wonderful views over the southern coast.
You will also visit the rugged eastern side of the island from where there are
breathtaking views over Big Baikal.
Zunduk river and lake Zama

At Zama you can swim in a big clean and warm lake. Then you will enjoy the
breathtaking panoramas of Zunduk river valley. There is a spring with healing
water and a lot of springs in the cooling shade of the forest.
