Irkutsk History Museum

The museum represents the life of Irkutsk citizens at different historical periods, throughout the household, traditions and scheme of life. There are over 30 thousand units of keeping in the museum funds. Particularly, the museum features a significant photo collection on Irkutsk history, audio archives of radio committee, items of labour and everyday culture of Irkurskers. Permanent exhibitions of the museum are: Irkutsk, three centuries*, «lrkutsk merchantry», «lrkutsk marriage», «Woman in the war».

Besides, there is an on-site house of handicrafts - a place of apprenticeship, decorative and applied arts training, preservation of samples of needlework, articles made by modern craftsmen.
