The Museum of Communications

It is located in the old merchant house in Sverdlov Street. The building which became a historical-cultural monument used to be a part of the manor of Vasilii Basnin - merchant, Russian collector, hereditary honorary citizen, mayor of the mid-XIXth century. One has gathered a technical library, art gallery is being formed. The displays comprising vast collections of samples of technical facilities tell about the development of post, telegraph, telephone and radio communication, radio broadcasting and television. A lot of technical devices are exhibited in working condition.
