The country estate
The country estate contains three yards: tidy, semi-tidy and cattle-yard with
laid out buildings. The tidy yard contains double-tier bam, small bam, delivery
compartment, kobrik (ice cellar).
The peasants of Angara region had the various farming. They were occupied with
agriculture, hunt, carrier's trade.
In the villages along the river banks the main accessory work was the fishing.
The manufacture of the hollowed out boats was the labor-consuming and expensive
work. The masters selected the asp - the wild poplar, which were dried, hollowed
out giving the boat shape. The boat blank was expanded with filled hot water
and with progressive putting the transversal wedges.
If the boat was made not deep its boards should be built-up with planks. The
fishing was made by means of sweep-net, “mug”. The big fish was catching by
fire torch using the fish-spear. The caught fishes were selling in the near-by
villages and towns.
The exposition narrates about the epoch between XIX - XX centuries when the
peasants began to use largely the manufactured tools: iron ploughs, sewing machines,
separators, china plates and dishes and many other articles.
