Suvereto
Originally a castle and still encircled by walls, Suvereto has an urban center
which betrays the Medieval origins of the town, evidenced by the.Palazzo Comunale
with loggia and crenellated tower. Significant among the religious buildings
is the Romanesque church of San Giusto, erected in Pisan style by the master-builders
Barone Amico and Bono da Cal- ci, as noted on an inscription from 1189,From
Suvereto departs the road that, passing through Sassetta, leads on to Castagneto
Carducci.
