Nowadays, no seaman will leave a port not having inquired about a weather forecast
beforehand. The State Meteorological Service broadcasts weather forecast for
seamen via coastal radio stations. ReguLar weather forecasts are broadcast by
Local shipping companies every 15 minutes (in Russian and English). Weather
forecast are broadcast by radio stations and TV channels, they are also available
in marinas. Weather forecast is also available on the website of the State Meteorological
Service.
Rules of Behavior in Ports and on Beaches
Due to safety considerations it is prohibited to navigate at the entries into
ports and harbors, narrow stretches of seaways, at a distance of less than 50
m from the shore or protected areas for swimmers and not less than 200 m from
