In Cricova and Milestii Mici visitors have the possibility to walk on real
streets of underground towns, situated at a depth of 50 ISO m, and the total
length of underground galleries is more than 100 km.
In Cricova visitors can see a part of Ghering collection, dating from the
period before Second World War.
In autumn the courtyards of village houses are transformed into miniature
wineries. All villagers have a cellar in or near their house in which a cask
with wine or two are kept for guests, for holidays, or simply for good mood,
andfamily events.
The National Wine Holiday was instituted to show the importance of viticulture
in the Republic of Moldova.
This is the officialization ofold traditions with the participation of wine
producers and enterprises from Moldova, of craftsmen, artistic and dance bands,
etc.
The Wine Route plays an important role in tourism development, because it represents
the main tourism itinerary of the Republic of Moldova.
