Canoeing day on river Oulanka

The canoeing day starts from Rukapalvelu’s SafariHouse.

8.30 Distribution of equipment at the SafariHouse and car transfer to Oulanka Nature Center. At the center guests learn more about the Oulanka National Park. Short hike past Kiutakongas rapids to the starting point of the canoeing.

11.30 Instructions for canoeing after which participants pad-dle 10 km to Nurmisaari for outdoor lunch. Canoeing contin-ues for 16 km all the way to the Russian border. The day ends at a wilderness lodge with traditional smoke sauna, wilderness dinner and surprise performances. 00.30 Transfer back to Ruka.
