Innovations in Tourism

The roundtable"New Aspects of Employment of Innovative Technologies in Tourism"took place as a part of the IV St. Petersburg International Innovative Forum at Lenexpo for the first time. It was arranged on the initiative of the St. Petersburg City Tourist Information Center and was of great interest for the market participants.

As for St. Petersburg, innovationsare looked at globally here. Nana Gvichiya, the General Director of the City Tourist Information Center, emphasized in her speech that"Thankstoemployment of innovative approaches to management and different schools of innovative management in the previous Program of Development of St. Petersburg as a Tourist Center (2005-2010), the set goals were attained. For example, the problem of safety of guests staying in the city was solved on the basis of systematic ap- proach to management."Then she spoke about the strategy of creation and optimization of the official tourist portal of the city — Visit-Petersburg.ru, where, thanks to the technologies of situational analysis, it became possible to trace and reveal quickly the arising tourists'needs.

Sergey Korneyev, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, said in his speech, "As Internet is becoming one of the basic channels of distribution of information, it is necessary to create a single site to serve as an open operative plat- form for promotion of the Northwest region on the tourist market and where the full assortment of services of the travel industry companies will be presented." Summarizing the work of the roundtable, Nikolay Isaev, a representative of the Committee for Investments and Strategic Projects of St. Petersburg, mentioned that innovations are a necessary condition for creation and successful realization of the tourist product in the modern world.

“Russian Evening” coincides with the Milan Fashion Week, so in the annual program there is an exhibition of one of the Russian fashion de signer. This year Foundation for Contemporary Art Rizzordi Art Foundation was chosen for its organization, with extensive experience in inter national projects and extensive international connections. As part of the “Russian Night" Foundation presented the exhibition “Future Generation” and the famous St. Petersburg de signer and artist Leonid Alekseyev. recognized in 2009 "Designer of the Year” by the magazine "GQ Russia".

The exhibition "Future Generation" is the in stallation, drawings, collages, and clothing. The love of clean lines and luxurious materials for minor pedantry in the other details and the abil ity to say more with less, pithiness of the forms and rate on the subtle elements — a collection of Leonid Alexeev autumn-winter 2011, present ed in the exposition, has all that characterizes the real elegance.

Mariinsky Theatre soloists Daniel Shtoda and Mary Maksakova acted with arias from Italian and Russian operas before the guests of the evening, as well as musicians jazz ensemble of the St. Peters burg Music College of M.P. Mussorgsky.

The project is implemented under the patronage of the First Lady of Russia Svetlana Medvedeva, who was born in Saint-Petersburg. She feels the communication combining the northern capital of Russia and Milan. After the presentation of the collection fund Rizzordi Art Foundation and Leonid Alekseev awarded first lady teddy bear handmade, made specially for the event.
