Bogoroditsk
The estate was built by Catherine II for his illegitimate son A.G. Bobrinsky.
The Bogoroditsk palace is the first example of the classical style of architecture
in Russia. Designed by the famous Petersburg architect I.E. Starov, the palace
became not only the center of the estate, but also the city. From it is invisibly
diverge five main streets of the city. The author of the radial layout of Bogoroditsk
became a scientist — A.T. Bolotov. Fan of the streets can be seen from the observation
deck of the palace. The Bogoroditsk Palace Museum and Park is museum of farmsteads,
including monuments of architecture and landscape architecture of federal significance.
In ancient times travelers and guests of the Tula region called this wonderful
area the place "worthy of curiosity". The print of exquisite taste,
traces of former splendor and luxury decoration of interiors, will long remain
within these walls. In the XVIII century "magnificent house of Count Bobrinskiy",
located on a flat hill, and even more — "vast garden", which is adjacent
to the farm, was considered a "miracle of this region". Historians
of our time stand in solidarity with this opinion of travelers of the last century.
In our time, as in the old days j The Bogoroditsk Palace continue to delight
the eye of travelers and visitors of the estate. Being here, you realize that
the true values are eternal and always good with rustle of falling leaves, and
the noise of spring foliage, summertime multicolored days , and severe Russian
winter...
