Bridges and fountains in Corum
Baltaci Mehmet PaSa Fountain is one of four fountains erected to honour the
Grand Vizier Baltaci Mehmet PaSa, built in 1705. There is a written inscription
of 18 lines in three columns on white marble on the front face looking westwards.
Koyunbaba Bridge was built in 1484-1489 during the reign of Bayezid II and
spans the Kizilirmak River. The Bridge is 250 m long and 7.5 m wide with 19
arched openings made from yellow cut rectangular cross-sectioned stones.
