are the most precious values of Tyumen region.
Nature generously rewarded our region with curative gifts. Among them there
are: curative sapropelic muds of Lakes Ahmanka, Big and Small Taraskul; the
purest air; mineral waters for the internal and external use; silt and sulfide
muds of lake Bitter-Soapy. All these values are the main therapeutic factors
of Tyumen region sanatoriums.

Presently the Complex plan of arrangements on development of sanatorium-resort
complex till the year 2015 had adopted, where the construction of new sanatoriums
with the use of health factors (in Turinsk, Tavda and Krasnoufimsky district)
and development of existing health resorts are foreseen.
Tyumen region is featured by highly developed sanatorium-resort tourism in
connection with availability of unique natural medical resources, newest medical
equipment and functioning of large health centres, preventive clinics and sanatoriums.
Presently acting Abalaksky monastery is situated in 30 kilometer from Tobolsk.
On high bank of Irtysh river the harmony of nature, architecture and high spirituality
has been reached. Abalaksky monastery originates from a great relic of west
Siberia – were the source of pride of the whole nation and the unique symbol
of changes, development and growth. Informational Tourist Centre
Informational Tourist Centre of Tyumen Region (ITC- TR) was founded on the 26”’
of September, 2005 within the framework of the regional special program: «The
creation of the Western Siberia tourist centre based on the historical and cultural
heritage of the Tobolsk city».
The ITCTR promoters on behalf of Tyumen Region are the Department of strategical
development, the authorities of the region south cities, the enterprises receiving
Russian and foreign guests (hotels, tourist offices) and the organizations indirectly
interested in the increasing stream of tourists to Tyumen Region (transport
organizations, souvenir shops, service enterprises).
The Centre sees its main aims in the development of the home and entry tourism
in Tyumen Region, and the positioning of the region as the important tourist
centre at the Russian and international market of tourist service. The ITCTR
performs the following activities:
It gives the total information to the guests about its members and Tyumen
Region, concerning the questions directly or indirectly connected with the tourism.
In the ITCTR one can get reliable information about the location and the daily
routine of work of the showing establishments, the excursion themes; hotel
prices, restaurants, cafes, their addresses and menu; train, bus and airline
schedules; museums, exhibitions, and sights; cultural events, souvenir shops,
and the tourist agencies of the region.
It joins efforts of state, commercial and public institutions in order to work
out and realize the projects, concerning the quality of the tourist “welcome”
and service. Together they do much to expand the spectrum of the Tyumen Region
tourist products.
It organizes the participation ot its members on the stand at the first-rate
tourist exhibitions. It publishes informational stuff about Tyumen Region, the
partners and the Centre members.
It holds meetings with the travel organizers to Tyumen Region, in other words
it realizes promotional informational tours for tourist offices and mass media.
