Hatta
An early Islamic settlement was discovered at Khatt when a bull-dozer cut into
occupation layers below ground. The finds included wares from China, Iraq and
the Persian port of Siraf together with fragments of glass vessels.
A Parthian pilgrim flask lay near tomb 2 and the first-century B.C. ring with
intaglio came from Ghalilah tomb 5. A small pot of the same period was found
in Shimal tomb 1 together with an earring of electrum. A Partho-Sasanian seal
was recovered from Shimal tomb 100.
