Nekouz

Nekouz region has its own unique nature. River Sit' has temper: nearby lld' and Sutka rivers are too quiet compared with its rapids. These waters surrounded by pine forests and birch grooves.

From Moscow: by car on M8 highway Sergiev-Posad, Kalyazin, Uglich, Schestikhino - 330 km.

From Yaroslavl: by car through Uglich and Schestikhino - 170 km.

Sitskaya Battle memorial

Yearly Yaroslavl eparchy holds the yearly celebrations dedicated to Sit’ battle (1238) with Mongol invaders. Centre of celebration is a monument near Lopatino village, where, in 1980, the white marble stone panel was presented as a monument.

Museum of I.D. Papanin

Museum of outstanding Russian polar traveler, doctor of geographical science, counter-admiral I.D. Papanin is situated in his working residence in Borok.

Museum of nature

This museum was founded in 1949 by I.D. Papanin initiative. Contains unique paleontological collection, discovered when channel from Borok to Volga was made.
