From Moscow: by train ¹ 060ß “Moscow-Vologda” or ¹ 376ß “Mos cow-Vorkuta” from Yaroslavskiy station, by car through Rostov, Pereslavl, Yaroslavl, Danilov.

From Yaroslavl: by bus from Bus station on Mos- covsky Prospekt - 100 km, by car - through Danilov.

To Kukoboy: by car to Prechistoye and 24 km from it.

“Northern gates of Yaroslavl Region" - locals call their beautiful home like that.Being a good place on trading route Prechistoye connected Arkhangelsk with Moscow. This place is worth seeing - Forest museum and local museum, wooden sculptures by local master Madanyuk. But the most unique place is Baba-Yaga’s hut. This old, mystical creature chose Kukoboy as her permanent home!

Spas Nerukotvorniy Cathedral

In the centre of Kukoboy this prominent cathedral can be seen. It was built by I.A. Voronin in 1912. Perfectly shaped, beautifully painted and made of unique white stone it is a real eye-catcher! It was blessed by bishop Tikhon, the future Patriarch himself!

Baba Yaga’s Motherland

Russian Santa Klaus - Ded Moros resides in Velikiy Ustyug, his grand daughter - Snegurochka - in Kostroma. But Kukoboy sheltered the antihero of Russian fairytales - Baba Yaga! Go and visit the hut of mythic creature! Also Kukoboy has the Fairytale museum where doll sister of Baba Yaga resides. Baba Yaga offers tea with famous pirozhki from Kukoboy.
