Volga-Âîëãà

«Volga-Âîëãà» - trans-regional choreographic contest or ballet acts. Comp «Volga-Âîëãà» lasts 3 days, usually from the middle of April till the beginning of May. During the contest picturesque and ancient Yaroslavl-city becomes a magnet for youth dance teams from many central cities of Russia, near-abroad and far-abroad countries. The festival is interesting for those who have a desire to see various dance abilities, new stagings and teams, find inspiration for their own creativity.

Concert hall is open for 3 days to the contest's audience: opening of the festival (gala concert), competitive day and summarizing - closing.

Participants and audience have a chance to visit master-classes carried out by the representatives of the Young Choreographer’s Guild of St. Petersburg-city.

International youth festival «Russian Winter»

Yearly in the end of February the international youth festival «Russian Winter» is held in Tutaev district in Yaroslavl region. Festival history accounts 10 years and every year the number of fans increases. Young people aged over 18 can participate in the festival.

Every year the festival receives more than 500 participants from Belarus, Latvia and Russia. The delegations of youth unions from other CIS, near abroad and distant countries are invited as guests.

Festival program gives a chance to get acquainted with Russian cultures and traditions through exciting contests based on folk- customs, ceremonies and team sports. Football competitions on the snow and creative contests among participants' teams are traditional on this festival.
