Salon table 1780-1790s.
Furniture maker Nikifor Vasilyev The image on the tabletop is made after an
engraving of a drawing by Mikhail Makhaev (1716-1770), Saint Petersburg.
Pine (base) with marquetry decoration: nutwood, apple, nutwood burl, blackwood,
harewood, mahogany, veneer.
The inscription on the table top is «A panorama of the Moscow Kremlin
from Zamoskvorechye District between the Stone bridge and the Live bridge of
boats at midday».
